Nine students participated in a one-month shadowing training program using online extensive reading. The effects of shadowing on speaking ability were examined using three speaking tests (oral reading, picture description, and opinion expression) and a shadowing skill test. The results showed significant improvement in oral reading and shadowing skill test.
