Comparing closed tasks and open tasks: Their effects on the levels of awareness and the acquisition of dative alternation
The study examined the extent to which two types of output activities, namely closed tasks and open tasks, facilitated the learning and noticing of the dative alternation. 40 Japanese college students were randomly assigned into the closed task group or the open task group. The results showed the advantageous effect of closed tasks over open tasks. |
